Steelhead Technologies is hiring a Software Engineer to build the ERP that powers metal finishing and fabrication shops nationwide. You’ll own features end-to-end—from requirements to deployment—interacting with deployment specialists, support, and sales to shape how the product works.

The stack includes React, Node.js, TypeScript, Postgres, GraphQL, and you’ll collaborate in a tight, face-to-face team of five engineers in Calumet, Michigan.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of post-graduation development experience.
• SQL and data model design.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Action-oriented and self-directed.
• Focused on making great product experiences.
• Development experience with React.js or a similar web app framework.

Responsabilités

• Collect requirements from multiple sources and lead development of large features.
• Work with tech leads on architecture and data model design.
• Direct the development of large efforts through loops and multiple agents.
• Develop test plans for your feature and thoroughly test different workflows.
• Collaborate with QA to work through testing feedback.
• Collect feedback through operational logs and product metrics.
