Job summary

Steelhead Technologies Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer Co-op for full-time, on-site work in Calumet, Michigan. You will own features alongside a five-engineer team, contribute to the ERP platform, and directly impact real-world manufacturing operations.

You will work with React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Postgres, and GraphQL, gaining experience across the full development cycle and product feedback loop in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Software Engineering or CS.
• Available for a full-time co-op term and able to commit to dates.
• Coursework or project experience with SQL and data modeling.
• Interest in AI-native development.
• Strong written and verbal communication; self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Collect requirements from multiple sources and assist in feature development.
• Work with tech leads on architecture and data model design.
• Develop test plans for features and thoroughly test workflows.
• Collaborate with QA to address testing feedback.
• Collect feedback through logs and product metrics.
• Own features and influence AI across the cycle.
