Job summary

Wired360 Inc. is seeking a customer-facing Network Software Development Engineer on a 1-year contract to assist customer engineering teams across data center, campus/wifi, WAN, and service providers.

You will develop network automation frameworks and software to help deploy and operate advanced networking infrastructure. Requirements include 3+ years in software development, Python proficiency, and strong networking fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Expertise in version control systems (e.g. GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g. PyTest).
• Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems.
• Experience with Unix or Linux.
• Comfortable with all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Overview We are seeking a customer facing Network Software Development Engineer on a 1-year contract to assist customer engineering teams across multi-domains: data center, campus/wifi, wide area networks, and service providers. You will be part of a team that works in 3 areas:

• Network automation: Developing innovative frameworks for customers by leveraging cutting-edge network automation techniques
• Software customizations: Designing and implementing solutions to help customers deploy and operate advanced networking infrastructure
• Efficiency enablement: Building software tools to help internal and external collaborators work more productively when deploying, migrating and operating networks

What You'll Do

This role demands strong and broad software engineering fundamentals, and ideally a good understanding of networking including capabilities like L2, L3, and fundamentals of commercial switching HW, proficiency in Python and Ansible.

• Familiarity with Itential Automation Platform
• Experience with datacenter networking, management and orchestration
• Past experience with Arista EOS, Cisco IOS or JUN OS.
• Experience building third party software integrations and APIs
• Experience working in a customer-facing role
