The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85,000.00 and $170,000.00. The specific salary offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and current market conditions. We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer - Data proficient in Java, Scala, and Python. You will be part of the team responsible for building the Data and Analytics Platform for the Digital Bank Unit. This role offers the opportunity to experiment with new cloud technologies and develop a highly scalable data platform to support key business functions, including creating REST APIs for internal and external data services.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Possess solid experience and understanding of large-scale data warehouse, data lake, and analytics platform solutioning and operationalization on GCP.
• Monitor the Data Lake continuously and coordinate with support teams as needed.
• Design, build, and test scalable data ingestion pipelines; automate ETL processes for various datasets.
• Extract application telemetry data, structure it, and send it to reporting tools like Kafka and Splunk.
• Create reports to monitor usage data for billing and SLA tracking.
• Collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements.
• Support the availability and performance of ETL/ELT jobs.
• Provide technical assistance and cross-training to team members.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
• 6+ years in Data Engineering, focusing on Data Warehousing and Analytics.
• 4+ years with leading public cloud platforms.
• 4+ years designing and building scalable data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, with experience in Notebooks.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with GCP data projects (Dataflow, DataProc, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, GKE, Airflow).
• Minimum 2 years in Data governance and Metadata Management.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience in analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying solutions based on business needs.
• Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, including technical documentation and executive communication.
