Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, physics, chemistry, or related fields.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• 1+ years of experience in C++, Python, and C#; Linux development and Git.
• Experience with TCP/UDP networking and software architecture is desired.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software throughout its lifecycle.
• Translate requirements into software designs and architecture definitions.
• Perform unit and integration testing, and participate in peer reviews.
• Support software system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge weapon systems development, including the Next Generation Cruise Missile program. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software essential to the operational success of high-impact defense projects. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access, as it involves working on sensitive and classified projects. The role emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, systems thinking, and technical creativity, providing a platform to influence next-generation capabilities in defense technology.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, data science, physics, chemistry, or related fields. The role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship. A minimum of 1+ years of experience in C++, Python, and C# programming, along with Linux development, version control systems like Git, and experience with network architectures such as TCP/UDP, is essential. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of related experience, active U.S. Secret Clearance, and knowledge of software architecture, design methodologies, and development tools. Candidates with a strong understanding of embedded systems, software validation, verification processes, and industry standards will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software throughout its lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Translate customer requirements into initial software designs, creating interface definitions and architecture documentation.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and participate in peer reviews to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Support software system integration and testing activities, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance.
• Create comprehensive software documentation to facilitate future maintenance and updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet operational and security requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements, adopting best practices in software development and testing.
