About The Role

We are seeking talented and motivated Real-Time Software Engineers to join our Boeing Precision Engagement Systems organization located in St. Charles, MO. This role is pivotal in developing, integrating, testing, and deploying complex software solutions for defense systems, including precision-guided weapons, cruise missiles, and operational flight programming software. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical systems supporting the United States and allied nations worldwide. As part of our team, you will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, utilizing agile methodologies and modern development tools to create embedded real-time applications that meet rigorous defense standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in engineering, computer science, or related fields, along with relevant industry experience. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. secret security clearance and demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Ada, C, or C++. Experience with real-time embedded software development, object-oriented design principles, and working within collaborative team environments is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with additional programming languages like Python or C#, familiarity with agile development environments, version control systems like Git, and the ability to develop and trace software requirements. Candidates with active U.S. security clearance and extensive relevant experience will be considered for senior roles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, develop, and implement Operational Flight Program (OFP) software solutions for defense systems.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle within an agile environment, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain real-time embedded software using Ada, C, and C++, ensuring compliance with industry and security standards.
• Conduct software testing and assist in system-level testing to verify functionality, performance, and safety requirements.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software defects, providing timely resolutions to maintain system integrity.
• Contribute to the development of automation tools, models, and simulations to enhance software testing and validation processes.
• Engage directly with U.S. Air Force and Navy customers to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Develop leadership skills through mentoring junior engineers and participating in project management activities.
