Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to support a highly technical program with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). You will build and optimize software that physically and functionally characterize hardened facilities and Weapons of Mass Destruction processes, driving physics-based models and simulations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a technical field with 8–12 years of relevant exp, or MS with 6–10 years.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience designing and managing data pipelines using modern ETL tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and modernize software algorithms for physics-based models.
• Build backend services and cloud-native data pipelines for large-scale simulations.
• Architect and maintain ETL data flows ingesting large scientific datasets.
• Implement secure cross-domain data transfer solutions between unclassified and classified networks.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate complex requirements into software prototypes.
