Job summary

Leidos’ High Fidelity Simulation Business Area in Bethesda, MD designs and delivers cutting-edge system-of-systems solutions for the U.S. Navy.

You will contribute to sonar tactical decision aids and real-time processing, joining a high-impact team supporting national security. You will develop in Java, React, C++, and other modern languages, collaborate across disciplines, and occasionally travel to Manassas, VA for integration efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field that provides strong software development skills.
• Around 5 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following: real-time acoustic signal processing, parallel processing, microservices, signal processing, real-time data analysis, or visualization/simulation systems.
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Certification: Willing to earn an IAT Level I (or higher) certification after hire (company-supported).

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively in an integrated team environment supporting a large-scale program.
• Own and deliver software solutions in Java, React, C++, and other modern languages.
• Learn and apply new technologies (e.g., Angular, Rust, Scala) to meet evolving needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with efficient solutions.
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and support urgent requests when needed.
• Communicate clearly with teammates, stakeholders, and leadership.
• Travel occasionally to Manassas, VA for integration and team collaboration.
