Job summary

Qualifications

Software Engineer - .NET Production Support

The Role

UST is searching for a highly motivated Software Engineer - .NET Production Support to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background combined with hands‑on experience supporting critical production applications in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for enterprise applications and services.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, system, and performance issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Debug and resolve issues related to REST APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Analyze system behavior, application logs, and monitoring data to proactively identify problems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve production incidents.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and ensure adherence to SLA commitments.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation activities.
• Leverage observability and monitoring tools to improve system reliability and operational visibility.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python, AI-enabled tools and modern engineering practices.
• Contribute to DevOps, SRE, DataOps, and MLOps initiatives to improve operational efficiency and application stability.
• Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.

What You Need

• 5+ years of overall IT experience, including 2+ years of Production Support experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong programming experience in C# and .NET Framework/.NET technologies.
• Advanced expertise in SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with system analysis, incident management, and stakeholder communication.
• Hands‑on experience with Git and modern branching strategies.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, troubleshooting, and debugging techniques.
• Experience supporting and maintaining applications hosted on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management processes.
• Experience working with monitoring and observability platforms such as:
  • Splunk
  • Datadog
  • Grafana
  • Prometheus
  • Dynatrace
• Familiarity with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and best practices.
• Exposure to DataOps and MLOps frameworks and processes.
• Hands‑on experience automating operational activities using Python and AI-driven solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale enterprise production environments.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of incident response, problem management, and change management processes.

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
