Job summary

Cognizant in Hartford, CT is seeking a Software Engineer - .NET & Java with 4 to 6 years of experience to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale applications in the Healthcare Provider domain.

You will build secure, scalable backend services and APIs, collaborate with product owners and QA, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while ensuring compliance. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3-4 days in a client office in Hartford.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on software development experience with strong expertise in .NET Framework/.NET Core and Java technologies.
• Proven experience developing enterprise applications within the Healthcare Provider domain, including provider enrollment, credentialing, provider management, or data management solutions.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, application design patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL development, query optimization, and data modeling.

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer - .NET & Java with 4 to 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications using .NET and Java technologies within the Healthcare Provider domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that enhance provider operations, improve data accuracy, and support digital transformation initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable applications using .NET and Java to support provider domain business processes and operational needs.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 44550 to $ 65500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
