Protagonist, based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Narrative Analytics platform. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to build, optimize, and scale the platform used to deliver strategic insights for clients with mission-driven goals.

The role requires 3+ years in software engineering, strong Python and React experience, and familiarity with AWS. A hybrid work arrangement supports in-person collaboration with the team in DC.

Formación

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python experience in production environments.
• Experience building modern web apps using React; TypeScript preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud environments; PostgreSQL or similar DBs.
• Interest in clean, maintainable code and learning from peers.

Responsabilidades

• Build and scale core features of Narrative Analytics platform using Python, React, and related tools.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs; implement frontend functionality as needed.
• Help design, build, and scale infrastructure components on AWS.
• Work with Kubernetes and containerized workloads for microservices.
• Integrate data processing pipelines and support NLP and search features.
• Participate in code reviews; collaborate with data scientists and engineers.
