Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build attribution systems that connect ad interactions with customer outcomes at massive scale in Seattle. Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with large-scale distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 2+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience with big data processing technology (Hadoop or Apache Spark) and data warehouse architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver software that produces measurement data consumed across Amazon's full advertising suite.
• Build and maintain petabyte-scale data pipelines and services using Spark, EMR, Apache Iceberg, and Java.
• Navigate complex attribution challenges with creative problem-solving.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, economists, product managers, and engineers to translate methodologies into scalable production systems.
• Apply architectural patterns to deliver maintainable, scalable, and well-tested solutions.
• Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, testing strategies, and operational excellence.
