Job summary

OpenEye, a leading cloud video platform company, seeks a Software Engineer II to work onsite at our Liberty Lake, WA headquarters. You will develop software for the Apex Server, reviewing requests, and collaborating with customers to deliver robust features and fixes.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong OOP skills, and a test-first mindset, with excellent communication to support cross-team collaboration and customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience and/or training.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Java, and JavaScript.
• Firm understanding of object-oriented programming and software development methods.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for the Apex Server application, including new features, updates, bugs, and unit tests.
• Review development requests and choose the most efficient path forward.
• Collaborate with internal departments and customers to deliver software that meets user needs.
• Assist troubleshooting by helping resolve customer issues with the software.
• Support other developers with questions about processes, coding standards, and algorithms.
• Communicate tasks and ideas clearly with teams and customers.
• Analyze requirements from multiple sources and determine how to satisfy them.
• Review code to meet company, department, and team standards.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
