Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc is seeking a highly experienced software engineer to develop and support complex systems in a security-clearance environment. The role involves real-time analytics, data processing, and backend/frontend work.

The candidate should have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript/ReactJS, and experience with Apache Kafka and NiFi, Docker, and Maven. On-site positions across multiple locations are available with federal contract requirements.

• Candidate would be expected to be On call to support system operations.
• Must have fourteen (14) years' SWE experience in similar scope programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline required.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph (last polygraph must be within the last five (05) years).
• Candidate would be expected to be “On call” to support system operations.
• Must have fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (i.e. Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (04) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Experience software development tools such as Git, Kira, Confluence and other Atlassian Products
• Experience with Linux Command Line
• Experience with Java or similar programming language
• Understanding of Container Technologies such as Docker
• Understanding of web development and APIs
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to learn new software and technologies related to backend or frontend development
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with JavaScript, ReactJS specifically
• Experience with Apache Kafka

• Cloud Experience: Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

$150,000 - $200,000 a year

The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
