Job summary

PNC is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to drive the technical design and development of software solutions across multiple enterprise applications. You will lead efforts in Java-based systems, work with Oracle databases and ETL processes, and ensure high availability and performance.

You will monitor application health using Dynatrace, troubleshoot complex production issues, and guide teams across development, infrastructure, and security to maintain stability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
• Bachelors degree in a related field.
• Experience with enterprise applications and software development lifecycle.
• Ability to lead, communicate, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Denver, CO, Birmingham, AL, Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, Dallas, TX, or Strongsville, OH.

What we're looking for:

• Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for assigned applications, providing technical leadership and representing application capabilities, risks, and priorities to business and technology stakeholders.


• Lead the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications built on Java, leveraging Oracle databases, SQL, and ETL processes to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.


• Monitor application health and operational performance using tools such as Dynatrace, proactively identifying issues, driving root cause analysis, and implementing preventive solutions.


• Partner with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to troubleshoot complex production issues, validate integrations, and support end-to-end application stability.

Base Salary: $86,250.00 - $158,125.00
