PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the SRC Lending team. This role is based in one of several Technology Hub offices, including Birmingham, AL, with weekly in-office time required.

You will lead incident response for production systems, drive automation and monitoring improvements, and contribute to resilience and continuous improvement across critical platforms. A strong background in OCP, SQL/NoSQL, .NET, and Dynatrace is preferred.

As a Software Engineer, Senior within PNC’s SRC Lending organization, you will be based in one of our Technology Hub offices: Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Phoenix, AZ, Farmers Branch, TX, Birmingham, AL or Denver, CO.
Weekly time in the office is needed

Join a high-impact team responsible for keeping critical production systems running reliably around the clock. As part of SRC Production Support, you’ll lead incident response, troubleshoot complex technical issues, drive automation and monitoring improvements, perform root cause analysis, and help improve the resilience of enterprise platforms. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and are passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Strong skills and experience needed:

Provide operational support for critical production applications and infrastructure.
Monitor alerts, events, dashboards, and incident queues to proactively identify service degradation or outages.
Perform incident triage, impact assessment, prioritization, and coordination to restore services with minimal customer impact.
Participate in and lead bridge calls during critical incidents, providing timely technical updates and health status reports.
Conduct technology health checks across assigned application and infrastructure domains during incidents.
Contribute to observability, monitoring enhancement, and proactive risk reduction initiatives.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $94,875.00 – $158,125.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
