ASRC Federal Advanced Research LLC (AFAR) seeks a Software Engineer to join the FAA-focused Second Level Engineering team. This is a full-time on-site role at the William J Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Candidates must meet FAA background requirements and security clearance standards. Responsibilities include Linux administration, automation scripting, and migrating Java middleware to containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT fields with relevant coursework; US equivalency may be required for non-US degrees.
• 3–6 years of experience is required; NAS experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage applications in a Linux environment.
• Develop automation code in bash, Ansible, or GitLab.
• Convert Java middleware to containerized applications.
• Support deployment and operations teams.
• On-site, full-time with potential evening support.
