Job summary

IQAir is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for our La Mirada, CA location. The role offers hands-on experience across the full software development life cycle, with mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to service reliability practices.

You will design, code, test, and debug components while collaborating on impactful projects. You will gain practical experience in agile environments, participate in team meetings, and contribute to the development of user-centered software solutions

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with various programming languages.
• Proficient using Windows and Microsoft Office suite products.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the conceptualization, design, development, testing and maintenance of commercial web applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers on various software development projects.
• Apply user-centered design principles in software development.
• Participate in agile development processes and team meetings.
• Contribute to the improvement of existing software and the creation of new features.
• Researching, investigating and fixing a wide range of technical issues.
• Support basic SRE activities such as monitoring application logs and dashboards for errors or anomalies.
• Reviewing system alerts and escalating issues when necessary.
• Assisting in tracking service performance, uptime, and reliability metrics.
• Helping maintain documentation for operational procedures and incident handling.
