Job summary

IQAir’s Software Engineer Intern position in La Mirada, CA offers hands-on experience across the full software development life cycle. You will design, code, test, and debug components while collaborating with experienced engineers who will mentor you and introduce foundational SRE practices.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with various programming languages
• Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Assist in the conceptualization, design, development, testing and maintenance of commercial web applications
• Collaborate with senior developers on various software development projects
• Apply user-centered design principles in software development
• Participate in agile development processes and team meetings
• Contribute to the improvement of existing software and the creation of new features
• Researching, investigating and fixing a wide range of technical issues
• Support basic SRE activities such as monitoring application logs and dashboards for errors or anomalies
• Reviewing system alerts and escalating issues when necessary
• Assisting in tracking service performance, uptime, and reliability metrics
• Helping maintain documentation for operational procedures and incident handling
