Job summary

Gordon Food Service is offering a 12-week paid internship in the Software Engineer department at our Home Office. You'll gain hands-on experience through mentors, real projects, and professional development.

Work with Appian Development, AI integration, QA, and Agile practices to deliver meaningful, customer‑facing software for North America and beyond. You must be enrolled in a university, pursuing a BS in CS/IT, authorized to work in the US, and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Qualifications

• Appian development and related competencies.
• Experience with AI integration within business applications is preferred.
• Testing and quality assurance knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Build Connections by collaborating with our Software Engineer team across North America and Canada.
• Participate in Agile standups, sprints, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to testing, maintenance, and enhancement of Appian applications.

Build a Career:

In the Software Engineer department by:

• Appian Development: Building and modifying business applications on the Appian low-code platform, translating user requirements into functional interfaces, process models, expression rules, and data views.

• AI Integration & Innovation: Exploring and implementing AI capabilities within tools and workflows to enhance application intelligence, automate complex tasks, and drive process optimization.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Test your code for accuracy and performance, and contribute to integrated system testing.

• Support & Maintenance: Troubleshoot process failures and support the ongoing enhancement of existing Appian applications.

• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in team standups, sprint planning, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.

Meet the following qualifications to be considered for our 2027 internship program:

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technology field

• Must be authorized to work in the US.

• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
