Job summary

Gordon Food Service is offering a 12-week paid software internship in the Home Office, focused on Appian development and AI integration to deliver real business impact. You will work with our Software Engineer team across North America and Canada, gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to multiple functions including IT, Finance, Accounting, HR, Marketing, and Supply Chain.

The program emphasizes Agile collaboration, testing, and ongoing maintenance, with networking opportunities

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technology field.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Appian development and enhancements on business applications.
• Support AI integration initiatives within tools and workflows.
• Participate in testing to ensure accuracy and performance of applications.
• Collaborate in an Agile team, attend standups, and contribute to sprint demos.

Build a Career

In the Software Engineer department by:

• Appian Development: Building and modifying business applications on the Appian low-code platform, translating user requirements into functional interfaces, process models, expression rules, and data views.
• AI Integration & Innovation: Exploring and implementing AI capabilities within tools and workflows to enhance application intelligence, automate complex tasks, and drive process optimization.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Test your code for accuracy and performance, and contribute to integrated system testing.
• Support & Maintenance: Troubleshoot process failures and support the ongoing enhancement of existing Appian applications.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in team standups, sprint planning, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
