Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking Software Engineer interns to assist seasoned developers on Church projects. Interns will learn new technologies, work on real production level tasks, and be mentored by IT professionals in a collaborative, faith-driven environment.

Responsibilities include coding, testing, debugging, and collaborating with teams, with remote and hybrid options and a 40-hour work week during a roughly four-month internship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or within one year of graduation in Computer Science or related field.
• Temple-worthy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
• Working toward a degree in engineering, computer science or information technology.
• Strong communication skills for teamwork, including virtual settings.
• Coding experience in Java/J2EE, .NET/C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python or full-stack development.

Responsibilities

• Assist seasoned developers with development tasks on Church projects.
• Learn new technologies and apply best practices in coding and testing.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and defect fixes.
• Participate in meetings with project teams and customers.
• Work with databases and issue tracking systems; engage in paired programming.
