Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a 2026 Mobile Software Engineer paid intern for May and August, to assist mobile developers on church software for Android and iOS. The role supports learning native mobile technologies with a mentor in a collaborative, faith-aligned environment.

Core hours are 9:00a–4:00p, Monday to Friday, with hybrid or remote options based on location. Enrollment in temple-worthy membership is required and the internship lasts about four months.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or within one year of graduation.
• Temple-worthy member of the Church.
• Pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology.
• Excellent communication skills for team collaboration.
• Familiar with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (Android) or Swift and SwiftUI (iOS).
• Familiar with mobile engineering, debugging, and programming methods.
• Basic understanding of systems and subsystems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, multi-task, and meet requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Coding experience in Kotlin or Swift to demonstrate in interview.

Responsibilities

• 40 hours per week internship for about 4 months; core hours 9:00a–4:00p, Mon–Fri.
• Offices in Riverton or Lehi; hybrid or remote based on location.
• Interns may enroll in a high-deductible medical plan.
• Perform development tasks in Kotlin (Android) or Swift (iOS) and unit testing.
• Debug and fix defects, attend meetings, report progress.
• Work with databases and issue tracking systems; collaborate in pairs or solo.
