Job summary

Figma is seeking software engineering interns to contribute across product and infrastructure layers. Interns are embedded in small engineering teams with mentors, shipping features or systems by internship end.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA, and learning through hands-on projects. Interns will work at either the San Francisco or New York hub, starting on one of several early summer dates; prior coding experience and problem solving are valued, and

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. C++, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.)
• Solid grasp of core CS concepts like data structures and algorithms
• Strong communicator who asks great questions and learns from feedback

Responsibilities

• Be fully embedded onto a Figma engineering team
• Contribute to projects that align with team goals and impact
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA to plan timelines
• Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure
• Share feedback and participate in peer code review
• Ship your project(s) by the end of your internship
