Job summary

Gordon Food Service's 12-week paid internship in software engineering offers hands-on experience in feature development, API integration, and CI/CD in a North America-focused environment. You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, UX designers, and product owners to deliver value across the Gordon Ordering platform.

You'll gain exposure to Java/Spring Boot, Angular, Google Cloud Platform, and AI-assisted engineering tools while participating in agile ceremonies and mentorship to accelerate

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a closely related STEM discipline.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to active feature development, enhancements, and API integrations across the Gordon Ordering eCommerce platform using Java/Spring Boot and Angular.
• Build, refine, and automate CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration tests, and database interactions on Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud SQL PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate on developer efficiency initiatives, including evaluating AI-assisted tooling and code quality workflows.
• Participate in agile ceremonies with engineers, architects, UX designers, and product owners.
