Job summary

Smarty, LLC. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our on-site team in Orem, Utah. You will help maintain CI/CD pipelines, production infrastructure, and security while growing your skills in a fast-moving SaaS environment.

You'll work closely with developers and operations to streamline deployment, automate tasks, and adopt new tools as our system scales. A monthly impact on reliability and performance awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or similar field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, SysAdmin, or infra-related work.
• Comfortable working in Linux environment.
• Familiar with Git and version control practices.
• Some exposure to CI/CD tools and containerization.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience with Cloud Orchestration (Nomad, Kubernetes).
• Experience with metrics and reporting (Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Orem, UT office.

What you'll do:

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1 to 3 years of experience in DevOps, SysAdmin, or infrastructure-related work
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
• Familiar with Git and version control practices
• Some exposure to CI/CD tools and containerization
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar
• Experience with Cloud Orchestration (Nomad, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience with metrics and reporting (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• A calm, solutions-oriented approach when priorities shift
• Curiosity and drive to keep learning new technical skills
