Rilla is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to work directly with customers, understand their challenges, and design solutions that integrate client data with Rilla’s conversational intelligence.
You will own end‑to‑end execution on high‑stakes projects, discuss data models with executives, wrangle large-scale data, and build integrations or full‑stack features while sharing insights with the team.
Rilla is on a mission to index the offline world. We have built the leading sales coaching software for organizations operating offline, serving over 1000 customers such as The Home Depot, KKR, Neighborly, and PulteGroup. Our product enables AI sales coaching across entire organizations.
We are backed by Google Ventures, Bessemer Ventures, Crew Capital, and Broom Ventures. The team works in‑office in NYC and values rapid progress, customer obsession, and a willingness to fail and learn.
Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) work directly with customers to understand their biggest challenges and design and implement solutions that integrate customer data with Rilla’s conversational intelligence. You’ll apply problem‑solving, creativity, and technical skills to help organizations use data to create real impact and gain deep insight into critical offline industries.
The role is similar to that of a startup CTO: you’ll work in small, often solo teams, own end‑to‑end execution of high‑stakes projects, and operate at high velocity. Typical activities include discussing data models with executives, wrangling large‑scale data, hacking integrations or full‑stack features, and sharing insights with the broader team.
You will help extend Rilla’s footprint into new markets and problem spaces and learn from leading talent in AI and offline commerce.
Estimated salary range: $185,000 – $230,000 per year. Successful candidates with competing offers will receive matching competitive offers. Total compensation may include incentive stock options, a sign‑on bonus, and other potential future incentives. The estimate excludes the value of any sign‑on bonus, benefits, or long‑term incentives.
