Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a senior frontend engineer to own the design, delivery, and operation of frontend services. You will translate ambiguous requirements into concrete designs and build accessible, high-performance interfaces while contributing to the shared design system.

You will explain technical designs to cross-functional partners and provide guidance to engineers, ensuring alignment with architectural and business goals. Hybrid in Phoenix with in-office days Tue–Thu.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UI or frontend engineering experience.
• Production experience with React or equivalent and TypeScript.
• Experience with Next.js or equivalent, design systems, web performance, accessibility, and automated testing.

Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of assigned services or feature areas within the professional discipline. Deliver operational targets with significant impact on departmental results, resolve difficult problems through detailed analysis, and communicate technical information to ensure understanding across partner teams.

The role reports to our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.

Overview Of Responsibilities

• Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of one or more frontend services or feature areas within the assigned engineering domain.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs through detailed analysis and investigation.
• Build accessible, high-performing interfaces and contribute to the shared design system.
• Explain technical designs and recommended changes to engineering, Product, and Design partners and ensure shared understanding.
• Provide technical guidance and training to associate and intermediate engineers; may delegate work and review work products.
• Operate assigned services independently and seek leadership guidance for decisions with broader architectural, financial, security, or organizational implications.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with adjacent technical disciplines relevant to the assigned engineering area.
