Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Mid-level Software Developer with 5+ years of experience to design and build software for tactical systems. The role is on-site at NSWCDD or a contractor facility, with 3-4 days per week in the office, and requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Candidates should have experience in Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript; CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes; open APIs and data interfaces; database design; and agile practices. Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modular software components using Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Develop standard, open APIs and scalable data interfaces for data access across systems.
• Design database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
• Utilize CI/CD and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment.
• Integrate open-source communication protocols (MQTT, gRPC, WebSockets) and mapping libraries (OpenLayers, Cesium).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, and deliver software packages.
• Maintain operations in a cleared environment and uphold security compliance.
