SimVentions, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Mid-level Software Developer with 5+ years of experience to design and build modular software for tactical systems.

This on-site role requires 3-4 days per week at NSWCDD or a contractor facility and security clearance. You will work with Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript, design APIs, manage database schemas, and implement CI/CD with Docker and Kubernetes while collaborating in an Agile team under a Secret clearance framework.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, Golang, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing modular software architectures.
• Knowledge of open APIs and data access.
• Knowledge of database schema design and SQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (Docker / Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Agile fundamentals.
• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modular software components using Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Develop standard, open APIs and scalable data interfaces for data access and cross-system integration.
• Design database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
• Utilize CI/CD automation and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) to streamline deployment.
• Integrate open-source protocols (MQTT, gRPC, WebSockets) and mapping libraries to projects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, and deliver software packages in a cleared environment.
