Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Mid-level Software Developer with 5+ years of experience to build software for tactical systems. The role is on-site at NSWCDD or contractor facilities 3–4 days per week, with no travel. An active Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.

Responsibilities include designing modular components in Java/Kotlin/Go/Rust/TypeScript, building open APIs, SQL data schemas, and leveraging CI/CD with Docker and Kubernetes in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of modular software architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modular software components using Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Develop standard APIs and scalable data interfaces to enable data access across systems.
• Design database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
• Use CI/CD automation and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) to streamline deployment.
• Integrate open-source protocols (MQTT, gRPC, WebSockets) and mapping libraries (OpenLayers, Cesium).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, and deliver software packages in a cleared environment.
