Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is hiring multiple Software Engineers to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of satellite ground software. The position is onsite at Aurora, CO; Fairfax, VA; or Morrisville, NC campuses.

The ideal candidate will own hard problems, drive solutions, and lead within a team, with emphasis on software development life cycle and diverse Linux-based tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of development experience (3 years with a Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD). 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application.
• 2 years experience with Agile programs
• 2 years experience with the design, build, and deployment of software products
• 2 years experience in producing software architecture documentation
• 5 years of experience with Python, Go, AWS, GitLab workflows, and Docker/Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Full stack development across OS, platform, and mission software layers.
• Work with languages/tools including Go, Python, Postgres, Kubernetes/Docker, AWS, PKI, and static code analysis.
• Self-starter capable of managing project budget and schedule.
• Develop software enabling command and control functionality of hardware systems.
• Develop software for activity planning and constraint checking for mission outcomes.
• Create visualization tools for complex dynamic environments and user-centric interfaces.
