Job summary

Barbaricum is seeking an Software Engineer III to directly support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, Model Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM). The role focuses on EMSO-enabled analysis, modeling, and test activities within a DoD setting.

You will apply software engineering expertise and modern development practices to support EMSO mission engineering and development lifecycles, collaborating with the MXM team to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required.
• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
• 10 years of professional experience with software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Apply programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
• Apply modern software development methodologies (e.g., agile, DevOps/DevSecOps) in a professional or academic setting.
• Support the team's software engineering tasking across the development lifecycle.
