The role provides software engineering support to NAWCWD and related program offices, focusing on assessment, design direction, and milestone-driven reviews. The candidate should have an active DoD SECRET clearance, a quantitative engineering or CS degree, and 8+ years in software development with modern methodologies.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and Active DoD SECRET Clearance required.
8+ years of professional experience with software engineering.
Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional setting.
Experience with modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS).

Responsibilities

Provide technical assessment for major projects, proposals, planning and direction of TI and design efforts.
Ensure technical assessments and recommendations are thorough and submitted on time for milestones and reviews.
Review software documentation for CCBs, design reviews, FQT, TRR, TRB, and data reviews.
Coordinate exchanges between RMD Software Engineering and Government agencies.
Develop and coordinate technical agendas for program reviews and exchanges.
Provide assessments for internal IPTs to identify and resolve missile software problems.
Support major readiness reviews such as PDR, CDR, MRR and MCP.
Review software/firmware documentation for major Surface Missiles.
