Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (SEG3) to support a large DoD/Navy contract. The role requires active Secret clearance and will operate at the Washington Navy Yard, with potential telework evolving over time.

Responsibilities include leading software design and integration for a ~200-person team, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring system readiness and performance metrics are met.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
• 10+ years working with software engineering.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Navy/DOD policy and guidance.
• System Engineering Technical Reviews.
• Technology readiness and technical performance measures.
• Combat Systems Integration and requirements decomposition.
• Program Protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Program and Deputy Program Manager of a 200 person contractor team.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions for Navy/DoD contexts.
• Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
• Collaborate with project management, acquisition, logistics, security, and other disciplines to integrate hardware and software systems.
• Maintain databases within an application area.
