Job summary

International Executive Service Corps (Washington, DC) seeks a Software Engineer III to design, develop and maintain naval software. The role requires a DoD SECRET clearance and experience with SoS architectures, cybersecurity and DevOps practices. Strong programming in C/C++, Java or Python is expected.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to review designs, fix defects, optimize performance and implement algorithms for ashore or afloat platforms, headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related fields (Electrical/Computer/IT/Information Systems, Marine etc.).
• Master’s degree preferred in a quantitative field.
• Preferred Agile Developer/Scrum Developer certifications and a PE license.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software for naval applications.
• Participate in design and code reviews; fix errors and optimize code.
• Provide network architecture engineering support and system documentation.
• Assess SoS architecture and ensure cybersecurity and mission requirements.
• Identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation solutions.
• Support software integration with a multidisciplinary team.
