Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Asset & Wealth Management Technology group. You will design and deliver scalable, secure software across data integration, microservices, RESTful APIs, and AWS-based solutions.

As part of the SEP Team, you will mentor junior engineers, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and apply responsible AI practices to deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade software in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages (Python, TypeScript and/or Java) and database querying languages.
• Proven experience with large-scale data integrations in complex enterprise environments.
• Expertise in designing, building, and consuming microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Solid experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Glue and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment with demonstrated ability to evaluate, validate, and refine outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement large-scale data integration solutions to support asset management business needs.
• Build and maintain production-grade Python applications with reliability, scalability, and performance focus.
• Develop and consume microservices and APIs to enable seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Utilize AWS cloud services to architect, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining performance.
• Contribute to data model design for efficient storage, retrieval, and processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a collaborative engineering culture.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve code quality and productivity, with peer review and secure coding practices.
