Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City seeks a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain large-scale data integration solutions in Asset Management technology.

You will build production-grade Python apps, create microservices and RESTful APIs, and leverage AWS for cloud-native deployments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements, participate in CI/CD, and ensure secure, scalable delivery.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in building, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with Python, TypeScript and/or Java and database querying languages.
• Proven experience with large-scale data integrations in complex enterprise environments.
• Expertise in designing, building, and consuming microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Glue, CloudFormation).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and responsible AI usage in engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of SDLC, version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
