Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is actively seeking a Software Engineer III to join an agile team responsible for designing and delivering trusted, scalable technology products. You will build infrastructure and application components in Java, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and ensure security and stability across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

You will participate in the full SDLC, optimize deployments, and contribute to data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment with demonstrated ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and API development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes for deployments, scaling, and management.
• Proficiency with SQL databases.
• Experience with Shell and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of API gateways and their configuration.

Responsibilities

• Design and Build Infrastructure Components.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding standards.
• Develop application components using Java, ensuring secure, high-quality code.
• Write secure code with awareness of upstream/downstream impacts.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot with consideration of related systems.
• Design and implement infrastructure on Azure and AWS.
• Support deployments and configuration management.
• Analyze large data sets to inform decisions for secure, stable development.
• Learn and apply system processes for secure, stable code and systems.
• Collaborate across teams to align with enterprise standards.
