Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, customize, and support large-scale Dynamics 365 Government solutions. You will integrate with Azure Government, lead API development, and ensure secure, compliant architectures across enterprise platforms.

Strong experience with Dynamics 365 Government environments and API-driven integrations is required, along with collaboration with federal clients and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Work You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer III on the project, you will:

Lead the design, development, customization, and support of solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Government.

Design and implement customizations, plugins, workflows, integrations, and other enhancements within Dynamics 365 Customer Service / CRM.

Integrate Dynamics 365 Government with Azure Government and external enterprise platforms through secure APIs, services, and middleware to support compliant, end-to-end business processes.

Lead custom API development efforts, including building new APIs, consuming external APIs, and implementing scalable integration solutions within Azure environments.

Configure and extend Dynamics 365 components to meet evolving business needs, including entities, forms, views, business rules, and process automation.

Partner with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical designs and implementation plans.

Collaborate closely with architects to align on system design, integration patterns, technical strategy, and long-term solution direction.

Assess and reduce technical debt by identifying refactor opportunities, modernizing legacy components, and improving long-term maintainability and supportability.

Reestablish stakeholder confidence through consistent communication, transparent delivery tracking, and reliable execution.

Proactively identify roadblocks, risks, and system stability issues, and drive timely resolution to maintain delivery timelines and operational continuity.

Mentor and guide team members on coding standards, development best practices, and sustainable engineering approaches to improve code quality and team capability.

Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, performance tuning, defect resolution, and ongoing production maintenance.

Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, APIs, and development processes.

Ensure all solutions align with Microsoft best practices, federal security requirements, and applicable compliance standards.

Qualifications
Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Ability to travel 20-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including significant experience in Dynamics 365 Customer Service / CRM development

Strong experience working in Dynamics 365 Government environments

Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs, web services, middleware, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Azure Functions, or similar technologies in VA environments

Experience developing and supporting secure, scalable solutions within Azure Government

Strong knowledge of secure integration patterns, system interoperability, and data synchronization across enterprise platforms

Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions

Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

Experience implementing or supporting CRM systems within a federal agency environment

Experience reducing technical debt and modernizing legacy application components in large enterprise systems

Experience mentoring development teams and promoting strong engineering standards

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, release management, and automated testing for Dynamics 365 and Azure solutions

Experience with data migration and ETL processes

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and/or Azure certifications
