Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Greensboro seeks a Senior Software Engineer to deliver technically complex solutions and lead design discussions for secure, scalable applications.

You will develop with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and JavaScript/Angular, participate in Agile ceremonies, and mentor teammates while ensuring automated testing and production support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • At least 6 years of progressive software engineering or IT consulting experience with the listed technologies.
  • At least 1 year of experience with: jQuery, Crystal Reports, CI/CD Pipelines, IIS.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technically complex software solutions and perform system integration support.
  • Consult with business product owners to understand goals and design solutions.
  • Develop custom coding and software integration using project-specific tools.
  • Lead development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex solutions with robust unit testing.
  • Build automated monitoring and security controls and provide production support.
  • Engage in Agile practices, refine user stories, and ensure automated unit testing and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver technically complex solutions. Perform system integration support for all project work.
  • Consult and partner with the business product owners to understand the end goal and offer solutions and recommendations during the design.
  • Develop customized coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions, using tools specific to the project or the area.
  • Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing.
  • Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
  • Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
  • Typically lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger, more complex initiatives.
  • Solve complex technical and operational problems. Act as a resource for teammates with less experience.
  • May oversee the work of a small team.
  • In an Agile environment: Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and engage with, the business from the beginning of the design work. Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design. Actively participate in refining user stories. Responsible for design, developing, and maintaining automated unit testing, and supporting integration and functional testing. Responsible for providing automated monitoring capabilities, providing warranty support, and providing knowledge transfer to production support. Develop code in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.
Requirements
  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Must have 6 years of progressive experience in software engineering or IT consulting positions performing the following: Applying in-depth knowledge in information systems and understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices. Applying broad functional knowledge in requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and deployment of applications. Planning and managing projects and solving complex problems by applying best practice Providing direction and mentoring less experienced teammates. Utilizing experience with: C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, ORM Framework, VB.NET, JavaScript, Angular, and SSIS.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with: jQuery Crystal Reports CI/CD Pipelines IIS
