Job summary

Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. in Lake Forest, CA is seeking an Associate Software Engineer II to join our development team. You will design and implement software components under guidance, review requirements with engineers, and deliver reliable code.

You’ll collaborate with developers and QA, write unit tests, and participate in Agile processes. A BS in CS or related field and 1+ year of software development experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum of one year of software development experience.
• Proficient in C#, Java and Python.
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL statements and stored procedures.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as ASP.NET or similar.
• Experience with IDEs, test automation, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Under management direction, review business requirements to draft software design and review with engineering team for approval.
• Break down work items into tasks and provide development estimates.
• Implement and unit test software functions in accordance with DSE standards.
• Collaborate with other developers and QA team to ensure proper test coverage, resolve issues as needed to deliver high quality software systems.
• Regularly communicate task status to team members and identify risk areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
