Job summary

Sorenson Communications, LLC is seeking a skilled software engineer to lead design, implementation, and testing of high-performance video communication applications. You will develop features primarily in React, Node, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, HTML, and CSS, while leveraging AI tools to boost performance and usability.

Applicants should have 3+ years of experience and a BS in CS/EE or equivalent, with strong knowledge of AWS services and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS, EE, or equivalent with excellent grades.
• 3+ years of experience developing state-of-the-art applications.
• Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience building applications with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience building REST APIs in C#, Node.js, or similar.
• Knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Route53, etc.
• AWS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and team leadership in the design, implementation, and testing of high-performance, high-quality video communication applications.
• Develop and test application features primarily in React, Node, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, HTML, and CSS.
• Effectively use AI development tools to create innovative solutions that increase application performance, and usability.
• Implement standards-based communication protocols and related technologies including XML, JSON, HTTP, and REST.
• Recommend new technologies or direction for product development.
• Follow engineering best practices in a team environment to develop high-quality products including writing automated unit, component, and feature level testing.
• Review and evaluate code written by peers.
• Support production environments by participating in deployments, responding quickly to escalated issues, understanding that some of these events may happen during non-work hours.
