Applied Signal Technology (AST) is seeking a Software Engineer II with a strong cybersecurity and networking background to contribute to national security projects. This onsite role is located in Annapolis Junction, MD, and requires a TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience developing in C, C++, Python, and/or Rust.
• Experience with APIs, networking, and backend software.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software for security-focused systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers on requirements and design.
• Code, test, and document software solutions and maintain CI/CD practices.
• Participate in system-level integration and verification activities.
• Travel up to 25% domestically.
