Job summary

RTX's Applied Signal Technology is seeking a Software Engineer II in Annapolis Junction, MD for onsite work. You will join R&D to design, code, test, and document software for high-assurance cybersecurity and SIGINT applications.

Requirements include a STEM degree, 2+ years in C/C++, Python, and/or Rust, and a TS/SCI clearance. Travel up to 25% and collaboration with multiple teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with C, C++, Python, and/or Rust development and system-level testing.
• Experience integrating and testing complex software and algorithms.
• Experience with APIs, networking and backend software.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software for protection of the country as part of an R&D team.
• Design, code, test, and document software solutions and components.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers; present briefings as needed.
• Maintain software configuration management and follow established processes.
• Travel up to 25% domestically.
