Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship. The role requires 14+ years in software development within complex programs, plus a BS in CS or related field.

Additional SWE experience can substitute for the degree. The candidate will lead teams and develop scalable software leveraging distributed systems and big data technologies. Responsibilities include design, coding, debugging, and integrating software across

Qualifications

14+ years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required
4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for the degree

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features
Debug existing software and correct defects
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments
Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories
Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance and functional standards
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
