Job summary
Base-2 Solutions seeks a Software Engineer Level 2 to support the VISTA (SRE Team). The role centers on developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex software systems and infrastructure-driven solutions for mission requirements, with emphasis on Linux administration, automation, virtualization, networking, storage, and monitoring.
The position requires strong DevOps and systems engineering experience, and will involve leading teams as appropriate within the chosen development process.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
- 14+ years of Software Engineer experience in similar scope and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements to derive software design and performance needs.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software for new features.
- Debug and fix defects in existing software.
- Integrate software into new or modified systems or environments.
- Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
- Develop algorithms to meet performance standards.
- Assist with test procedures for software components.
- Review software and system documentation.
- Lead team as appropriate within the development process.
