Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking software engineers to design, build, and operate Workspace Applications infrastructure and services at cloud scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy software features for Workspace Applications infrastructure and services.
• Build scalable systems that manage resource provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management.
• Own operational excellence for your components, including monitoring, alarming, and on-call support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, science, and product management.
• Continuously improve code quality, system performance, and development processes.
• Write clean, maintainable code that scales to handle large-scale workloads.
