Job summary

Neumo is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Reporting & Fulfillment team in Fort Wayne, IN, onsite. You will design and maintain reporting and data export utilities, using SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and VB.NET/ASP.NET Web Forms, ensuring accuracy in government-focused outputs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product, QA, and operations, handling production issues, and contributing to code quality and best practices within legacy environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience with reporting or data export work.
• Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures and views, and query writing.
• Experience building or maintaining SSIS packages for ETL or data export workflows is a plus.
• Experience developing applications in VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms.
• Experience in production environments where data accuracy matters.
• Exposure to SQL Jobs for scheduled processing is a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL CLR is a plus.
• Comfortable participating in code reviews and following team standards.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and data export utilities using SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures and views.
• Build and maintain SSIS packages for data transformation, extraction, and scheduled export workflows.
• Develop and support backend application logic using VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms.
• Write and tune SQL queries and stored procedures/views with attention to performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and technical operations to define report requirements and validate outputs.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and production issues across database and application layers.
• Maintain and improve reporting infrastructure while supporting production stability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Leverage SQL Jobs and SQL CLR for automated processing.
