Job summary

Avenu Insights & Analytics, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Fort Wayne, IN office to join the Reporting & Fulfillment team. You will design, build, and maintain reporting solutions and data export utilities for DMV operations across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include developing backend logic in VB.NET/ASP.NET Web Forms, crafting SSIS packages, and writing efficient SQL queries. Collaboration with product, QA, and ops teams is key to ensuring accurate outputs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience
• Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures and views
• Experience building or maintaining SSIS packages for ETL or data export workflows is a plus
• Experience VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms development
• Experience in production environments where data accuracy matters
• Exposure to SQL Jobs for scheduled processing is a plus
• Familiarity with SQL CLR is a plus
• Comfortable participating in code reviews and following team standards
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and data export utilities using SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures and views
• Build and maintain SSIS packages for data transformation and scheduled export workflows
• Develop and support backend application logic using VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms
• Write and tune SQL queries with attention to performance and accuracy
• Collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams to define report requirements
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and production issues across database and app layers
• Maintain and improve reporting infrastructure for production stability
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards
